Hello!
I’ve participated in an exchange before, but this is my first exchange letter (and first post on dreamwidth). I think I’m doing what I’m supposed to do right now, but we’ll see. If not, I’ll learn.
Alright so what do I like? Looking at these prompts it looks like I am way more into guilt than I previously realized so feel free to use that.
I think fluff is really cute, but I don’t generally like it when the whole story is wall to wall fluff. Fluff works better for me as little character moments or something to help control the tone to your liking than a foundation to the whole story. My exceptions to this are ships like Max/Eleven, Violet/Isadora, Lana/Lori, and Riri/Doreen. You can build the foundations of those upon fluff. I also would be into fluff fic that isn’t really fluff. Like I feel like presenting horror as fluff could really amp the horror and so on.
I really do love historical aus (my person preference is 20th century or more specifically from the 10s to the 80s). They generally make me happy, although I wouldn’t advise them for Heathers, Stranger Things, or A Series Of Unfortunate Events. The 80s are so ingrained into the DNA of Stranger Things if you were to remove it, I feel like a lot of it would fall apart (although I would be very impressed and happy if you set it in a different decade, say the 70s or the 50s and still made it work). Heathers doesn’t need the 80s as much as Stranger Things does but I can still see a lot of problems with changing it (again feel free to prove me wrong). With A Series of Unfortunate Events I believe that the anachronistic elements are a part of what makes it special and really completes the whole atmosphere. A Series of Unfortunate Events is hard to mistake for something else and the anachronisms are a part of that. Although with every other fandom feel free to write or not write historical aus to your heart’s content.
The other sort of aus I adore are criminal aus (or for comics canons villain aus). I can’t get enough of those things. Which leads into my next like.
I love terrible people in love. Like that is the best. I think my favorite type of movie plot is two criminals on the run from the law committing crimes along the way and being totally in love. But even beyond that I just love villainous couples. All of this is probably pretty evident from my prompts (and most evident in the Tragedy Girls prompt).
It doesn’t look like I really requested many of these but I’m gonna talk about it anyways so you can get a better idea of what I like as a whole, but I am also into hero/villain ship tropes. Especially if it is manipulative or creepy or dirtybadwrong. I love it when the hero valiantly resists their feelings but not enough that the villain isn’t aware of them. I love it when the villain manages to corrupt the hero and then through the power of love pulls them to the dark side and they become the sort of couple I talked about above (but I am not a fan when the hero pulls the villain to the good side through the power of love). Or in stories where it is the hero perusing the villain I am always very interested in what the motivations for doing such would be.
All in all I like messy, complicated, and messed up relationships. They are the absolute best sort.
Alright now for my statement about my threshold for depictions of violence: I dare you to find one. Alright I actually do know one limit I have when it comes to this and that is medical procedure type stuff. I have no problem watching people get cut open on tv but the moment it’s happening in a hospital and they are performing surgery it’s hard to watch. However I will not being dnwing that because there are a few prompts where you could plausibly do something resembling that (well as far as I can remember I have no hospital related prompts but there are several prompts involving or implying torture and there are several ways to torture someone that involve playing doctor that might register similarly in my brain) and if that’s where you want to go I don’t want to stop you. It could be wonderful. Actually the playing doctor thing I mentioned in the parenthesis could be a lot of fun with a few of these prompts. Just know that is the one place you might get to me so to speak violence wise (also know that if you get to me I won’t be upset or anything like that). Otherwise you can crank it to eleven and I can pretty much deal with.
The above paragraph does not mean you have to put violence in whatever story you write. You can write a completely violence free story and I will love it. I just wanted to make sure that if you do want to include violence that you know that you really don’t have to hold yourself back for my sake.
A few of the prompts below mention that if you want to take things to a noncon or dubcon place I would not be against that and if you wanted to not take them there I wouldn’t be against that either. With the exception of a few of my pairings that are inherently dubcon/noncony, I’m not prompting it, but I’m not dnwing it either. Basically it’s cool if you do it’s cool if you don’t. I know dubcon/noncon is definitely a more opt in thing in exchanges so that’s why I’m going out of my way to let you know I’m okay with it if you go there even if I don’t specifically prompt it. This is my stance across the board by the way. I bring it up on a few of the prompts because I see it as more likely to be relevant to some prompts than other prompts (like I definitely needed to bring this up for Sadie/McKayla but have a hard time seeing why it would be relevant for Max/Eleven).

Sharp Objects
Amma Crellin/Camille Preaker
Okay so I saw this in the tag set and my immediate response was, “oh, hell yes!” I remember loving how twisted their relationship was, and if you can make things even more twisted than you are magic as far as I’m concerned. Like seriously don’t hold back when it comes to things that are fucked up and bloody. I welcome that with open arms.
Prompts for you to take or leave
One of the things that really stuck out to me about Amma was the way violence is intertwined with her sexuality. Use that please.
Camille feeling totally guilty about her relationship with Amma but not guilty enough to stop would definitely be something I would be into.
An AU where Amma was never caught and continued killing would be rad. Although I would prefer for her victims to continue being all girls.
I wouldn’t be opposed to Amma musing on her victims. This is my only exception to the “sexual content involving characters under the age of 13” DNW. I am fine with Amma having sexual feelings or fantasies or desires or thoughts or whatever towards her victims no matter what the age. However if the victim is under 13 I still do not want you to depict Amma actually having sex with the victim.
Domesticality mixed in with the twisted is more than welcome. Especially if it shows them trying to balance being sisters with being lovers with being sorta mother and daughter.
If your vision for this story goes to a dubcon/noncon place, I just want you to know that I am cool with that. If it doesn’t go to that place I am also down.
Heathers
Heather McNamara/Veronica Sawyer- I’ve seen a lot of fluff for this ship, and that’s all well and good, but I personally want something darker. With everything Veronica has done and how it has affected Heather McNamara there is stuff to draw on there. It can have fluff elements but I don’t want that to be the point of the piece.
Heather Chandler/Heather McNamara- I just wanna see how Chandler would handle McNamara in a romantic/sexual context. Would she hurt her or would she be gentle? Both? Something else entirely?
Heather Chandler/Heather Duke/Heather McNamara- It just makes sense. They are three parts of a whole. A dysfunctional whole, but a whole all the same.
Heather Chandler/Veronica Sawyer- There are a lot of places I can see this going. Rivalry, hatesex, guilt, ghosts, I love it all. I think that Heather Chandler genuinely liked Veronica a lot, but the opposite of love is not hate. I have seen it argued that hate is a form of love, but for Heather Chandler I think that hate may be a part of her love for Veronica.
Prompt I Would Be Super Into For Any Of These Ships: What if they were the ones to go on the killing spree instead?
If you want to add elements from the movie or hell, if you wanna straight up write fic for the movie versions of the characters instead, I would be okay with that. I honestly like the movie more than the musical anyway. If you wanna write fic that is strictly about the musical versions of the characters, that’s cool as well. This prompt is for the musical, it’d be kinda weird if I were against that.
Tragedy Girls
Sadie Cunningham/McKayla Hooper
Gosh I love these two so much it’s hard to know where to start. I love the way they complete each other. While on their own they most certainly wouldn’t have been good people, they needed each other to become what they became. They have those personalities that intertwine together to create a perfect disaster. The codependency in their relationship is absolutely A+. Don’t be afraid to show them being awful, the fact that these girls are monsters are a part of the appeal. Don’t feel like you have to hold back on that.
Some prompts you can feel free to take or leave
Creepy/weird and slightly inappropriate roleplay. Like maybe murderer and victim or two murderers but different from reality somehow (if you have any ideas about what that could be other than that go for it, I’d be happy to see it).
Blood, sadism, and bears! Oh my! Okay the bears aren’t really a part of the prompt (although teddy bears are cute and I love them very much), but their love of violence definitely is. If you can incorporate that I’ll love you forever.
Power dynamics. Like maaaaaan, this ship was practically built for power dynamic stuff. Sadie definitely has the control. Hands down, she’s the dominant one, but McKayla is arguably the more dangerous one. It could be fun to play with.
Them taunting a victim could be a lot of fun. I would personally prefer this victim to be a girl. Also I totally see the potential for this prompt to go to a dubcon/noncon place, and I want to let you know that you have my full permission to take it there if you so choose. Also that permission doesn’t just apply to this specific prompt. You can include that in any sort of fic you write about these two (or not include that, that’s cool too).
The juxtaposition between girly things and murder things was one of things that really cemented this movie in my heart and it would be cool to include that here.
Ship specific DNW: a Freudian excuse. One of the things I quite like about these characters is that the movie never tries to give them a tragic backstory to explain/excuse their behavior. They are even explicitly shown to be from loving families. They just are the way they are. So while I have no problem with you analyzing who they are and where they came from, I don’t want you to make up some piece of backstory so you can be like “they are this because x happened and that is totally the whole reason they are evil!”
Marvel 616
Felicia Hardy/Mary Jane Watson- The party girl and the bad girl. I see plenty of glitter and hopping fences and meetings in the dark of the night. Maybe it was supposed to be a meaningless, anonymous one night stand, but it didn’t stay that way. Now there’s feelings. Also Mary Jane having a lot of anger (maybe twinged with grief) and Felicia dealing with it. Also I’m really into Felicia being five to ten years older and if you do that please don’t shy away from all the age gap stuff. If you wanna make them the same age I can still work with that. Don’t think you absolutely have to bring up exact ages, you can let the dynamic speak for itself, but if you do I just request that MJ be no younger than sixteen.
Felicia Hardy/Cindy Moon- Ridiculous flirting. Felicia’s trust and Cindy’s resulting feelings of guilt. Bickering over silly things. Cindy not wanting to leave Felicia. Bonding over takeout on rooftops. Cindy coming to enjoy Felicia’s way of life. Overwhelming uncertainty. Felicia being the boss and making sure that Cindy knows that. Two hands clasped tight as red lights come closer. Also on them on the run from the law is what dreams are made of.
Emma Frost/Angelica Jones- Give me all the twisted student teacher stuff where Emma is being horribly manipulative and Angelica is naive and needs a hug. I mean there is already canonical gaslighting.
Jean Grey/Wanda Maximoff- I would absolutely love some Silver Age era flirtation between these two. Also an au where Wanda was a part of the first class and Jean was a member of the Brotherhood instead is not something I would say no to.
Illyana Rasputin/Rahne Sinclair- Illyana is a witch and Rahne is a werewolf. Rahne is very religious and Illyana was raised in hell. Just give me all the horror with religious undertones/imagery (that second part is totally optional but the foundation is there). You can go on the more spooky side of scale if you don’t want to write anything scary but I do want it to be the sort of creepy a story about a witch and a werewolf can give us. Just I can see mist over the moors and screams from hell and pentagrams and an almost full moon. I know in the early days of the New Mutants Rahne didn’t like Illyana and so it could be interesting to explore her feeling the way she did in canon while also having a crush. For some reason I associate the song Unchained Melody with them, do whatever you like with that information.
Lorna Dane/Wanda Maximoff- I am very interested in how these two deal with each other and how they feel about each other. What makes them different and what makes them the same? Also who would be the one to initiate things?
Liz Allen/Betty Brant- The original spider ladies! Something from that early era of canon when they were essentially the only spider ladies would be lovely. On a completely different note I think a supervillain au would be wonderful for these two.
Doreen Green/Riri Williams- My brain links these two together even though canon doesn’t do much of that because of their connections to Tony Stark. Doreen wanted be Tony’s sidekick, and Riri is a legacy character. But beyond that they are so different from each other. Doreen’s main thing is nature while Riri’s is technology. It’s they are so different yet still linked in my mind I would like to see how someone would put them together.
Alicia Masters/Sue Storm- These two just seem like they would work in so many different sort of wonderful and weird aus. Like a fantasy au where they are the subjects of a magic prophecy where they save the world and fall in love, or a Noir au with Sue as a PI and Alicia as her client, or anything. Go wild.
Marlene Alraune/Elektra Natchios- We know what Marlene’s relationship with Marc is like, but what would her relationship with Elektra be like. We know Marlene likes to be fancy and Elektra can do fancy. I’m having a hard time articulating the potential of this pairing, but think of the potential of this pairing.
DCU
Cassandra Cain/Rose Wilson- Mix the tenderness of a love poem with the violence of a bar fight. Mix sweet adoration with a bitter lack of trust. Mix the unspoken with the undeniable. Also something involving them sparring would be great.
Barbara Gordon/Bette Kane- The tennis champ and the commissioner’s daughter. What would bring these two together? Does Bette harbor any feelings of resentment about Babs being the new Batgirl? Does Barbara have any opinions on Bette’s time as Batgirl?
Helena Bertinelli/Dinah Lance- What I want from these two is a story about anger. Anger that makes you scream, anger that pulls a trigger and crushes bones. Anger that comes from deep within. Anger with a specific target. Anger that has nowhere to go. Maybe when these two collide it’s violent. Maybe they come together in soft harmony that totally contrasts everything else they know.
Pamela Isley/Selina Kyle- Ooooooh. These two could have some fun together. That’s really all I have in mind. Them being terrible, awful, criminal, and having a lot of fun together.
Stephanie Brown/Carrie Kelley- Alright considering the giant gap in the timeline there are three ways you can do this. The first way is that you make them roughly the same age: teenage girls. Steph is Spoiler and Carrie is Robin. If you go this route here is some fruit for thought. They are both very independent, deciding to be vigilantes on their own terms. Carrie’s parents were negligent and Steph’s dad was… well, Steph’s dad. I can see them getting along very well and helping each other out. The second way you can do it is making them the same age: adults. Steph is Nightwing and Carrie is whatever mantle you want her to be. They are both out patrolling, do they step on each other’s toes or are they functionally partners in crime fighting? They are now older and more experienced than when they started out and maybe they are both tired and need someone to rely on. The third and final choice is having Steph be an adult and Carrie be a teenager. Carrie still becomes Robin of her own volition but maybe Steph is the one to take Carrie under her wing instead and cue all the wonderful, classic hero/sidekick dirtybadwrong tropes. All of them from “oh no I shouldn’t be indulging this” to “there’s so much innocence still left in her heart and I’ll be ruining it whether this happens or not”. Just take your pick. Steph could angst about the fact that she is old enough to be this girl’s mother (and if you want to go the way of Carrie turning out to be her daughter I won’t stop you as long as neither of them are aware of it entering into the relationship, and if you don’t want to do that I’d also like that).
Lana Lang/Lori Lemaris- Lana could push Lori around in her wheelchair and it could be adorable. The main appeal to me is that one of them is from Smallville and the other is from Atlantis. I mean how much more different can you get. Also don’t forget about Lana’s insect powers. Those are under utilized.
Tara Markov/Rose Wilson- Considering Tara’s past with Slade Wilson, her entering into a relationship with Rose Wilson has the potential to be delightfully fucked up and I am here for every moment of. I like Tara to be a little bratty and for Rose to react to it. I like Rose to feel for Tara’s past, even a little bit, and for Tara not to know that. My mental image for this is old brick buildings, cigarettes, and bloody noses. Make of that what you will.
Joan Garrick/Molly Mayne- I really love Golden age Joan. She was tough and strong minded. I say this in the most positive way, but she was exactly the sort of stone cold bitch it needed to get what she wanted (I mean look at the college acceptance rates for girls in that era). She isn’t taking anybody’s shit and I love her for it. I have also always been interested in the way Molly’s villainous deeds are rooted from a desire for attention rather than maliciousness. They are pranks more than anything else. Joan worked hard to get where she is, how would she react to Molly who was born into wealth and privilege yet isn’t satisfied with her life? I would also appreciate a fic where Joan and Molly are Jay and Alan’s beards and Jay and Alan are their beards in return. Although if you wanna write fic where they are old you could totally pull a Grace and Frankie type situation (Grace and Frankie is a show which after decades of marriage their husbands come out of the closet and leave their wives for each other, so now these two very different women who never quite liked each other and only knew each other because their husbands were “best friends” have no one but one another to turn to for support) and I will love you.
Stranger Things
Barb Holland/Nancy Wheeler- Pre-series mutual pining and then after Barb dies Nancy being really sad. Or canon divergence where Barb never died (but the demogorgon stuff still happens) and got together with Nancy.
Kali Prasad/Nancy Wheeler- I don’t care how you do it, but get Nancy to join Kali’s gang.
Jane Hopper/Max Mayfield- Either give me fluff and puppy crushes and getting to know each other better set post season two pre season three OR give me gritty monster hunters from a few years into the future.
BTVS
Cordelia Chase/Willow Rosenberg- Look, I absolutely love the idea of these two together. I will take anything from fluff that will give you cavities to unhealthy and concerning dubcon bordering on noncon. How do the Scoobies feel about this relationship? How does Cordelia feel about her feelings for Willow? Even if you go for the tooth rotting fluff there is definitely a power imbalance there to work with. Are they hiding their relationship or hare they as open about it as any straight couple at Sunnydale would be?
Willow Rosenberg/Buffy Summers- For some reason this is the ship that makes me think about the fact that despite everything they’ve been through the are just kids. So yeah there is the weight of the world on their shoulders (and Buffy feels bad because she’s the only one who has to bear it but Willow chooses to bear it anyways), but they also have all that mundane teen stuff going on. I have never pictured the actual relationship itself being anything other than fluffy but if you have other ideas I’m interested.
Drusilla/Willow Rosenberg- I want to see how Drusilla would engage with Willow if she wanted her and how Willow would respond to that. Also if Willow does end up in Drusilla’s clutches how would that go? Sure Drusilla will turn her and keep her, but I’m sure she would play with her plenty first. Drusilla does love her dolls, and she knows the best ones break pretty.
Darla/Drusilla- I’m sure the two of them had plenty of girls’ nights during their time as the Scourge of Europe. Tell me about one of them. Also I have always found the way Drusilla calls Darla grandma to be endlessly amusing.
Faith Lehane/Buffy Summers- Oh god there is so much to this relationship. These two are truly two sides of the same coin. I would to see their ideals clash and a fucked up weirdly codependent relationship. Also an au where Faith was slayer first and Buffy is the newbie could be interesting.
Faith Lehane/Willow Rosenberg- I want something with a cat and mouse feel. Also their relationship in the context of an au where Faith was the slayer before Buffy and had been going to Sunnydale since sophomore year while Buffy wouldn’t show up until senior year could be interesting
Cordelia Chase/Anya Jenkins- Wishverse! I’m low key down for the Wishverse for most of these prompts and would be okay with it if you wen that path, but this is the only one I am high key into it. Or Anya as rebound. Or just in general how would Anya’s strangeness mesh with the way Cordelia is?
Cordelia Chase/Buffy Summers- For all their differences these two girls sure have a lot in common. Cattiness mixed with fondness. Or an au where Buffy decided to be friends with Cordelia instead of Willow and Xander way back at the start.
Fandom Specific DNW: Anything set after season 3 timeline wise
ASOUE
Violet Baudelaire/Isadora Quagmire- What I am picturing for these two is future fic set years after Lemony Snicket would lose track of the Baudelaire orphans and Violet and Isadora are off having badass adventures together. But I would also be into it if you wrote mutual pining with angst and fluff set around where we currently are in canon.
Olivia Caliban/Jacquelyn Sciezka- au where Jacquelyn was the one Olivia paired off with instead of Jacques. Or a canon divergent au where Olivia lives and somehow ends up with Jacquelyn.
Georgina Orwell/Esmé Squalor- Just them being horrible together and also in love. Arguing about fashionable glasses.
Olivia Caliban/Esmé Squalor- There are so many points in canon where these two could come together and it could be dark. Exploit those points to hell and back. Also if you see this going in a noncon or dubcon direction I just wanted to give you my complete permission to do so. If you don’t see this going in a noncon dubcon direction then it’s also cool if you don’t go there. I’m excited to see what you come up with either way.
Jacquelyn Sciezka/Kit Snicket- This is mostly because I remember speculation that Jacquelyn was going to turn out to be Kit. That mostly certainly isn’t the case which is wonderful because we can ship them. Do Jacquelyn and Kit already know each other? What do they think of each other?
Beatrice Baudelaire/Esmé Squalor- My prompt for these two is only two words, and those two words are: sugar bowl.
Josephine Anwhistle/Georgina Orwell- Pre series fic where Josephine is bold and the schism hasn’t happened yet.
FDTD
Paloma Gutiérrez/Santanico Pandemónium- The first word that comes to mind when I think of this pairing is ouroboros. The reason it grabbed me so hard (beyond being messed up f/f) is the whole cycle of abuse thing going. How Paloma is what Santanico once was and Santanico is doing to her what was once done to her. I also love how Santanico is Paloma’s god. But yeah. That’s my prompt: ouroboros.
Sonja Lam/Vanessa Styles- It seems like these two wanted very similar things and their true tragedy was that they found Seth Gecko instead of each other. So give me that fic where Sonja and Vanessa run away together to that island and are living life the way they should.
Monica Garza/Santanico Pandemonium- Monica lives au. The series would have turned out very differently if that were the case. For one the Geckos wouldn’t have picked up the Fullers. And what if one of those differences was that Monica met Santanico and they hit it off? You could also do something where Monica dies just like she did in canon, but I have no idea how you would do that (if you have an idea go right ahead).
Jessica/Kate Fuller- Just Kate having the biggest crush on Jessica pre-series. The biggest. Sleepovers where Kate’s heart is just on the verge of bursting. Are her feelings reciprocated? I am equally here for angst about Jessica’s death and a Jessica lives au.
Margaret Gonzalez/Dakota McGraw-Block- Maybe set right after Margaret left Freddie and Dakota feeling guilty about it.
Sonja Lam/Santanico Pandemonium- HATE SEX! God there is so much potential for hate sex. Or sex aside just all the catty antagonistic flirtation in the universe.
Jessie/Libby- How are these two holding up after what they went through in the pilot? Also if you can slip in any sort of news footage or scenes from a cheesy documentary these two would have been interviewed for that would be wonderful because I just love that sort of thing.

All in all I like messy, complicated, and messed up relationships. They are the absolute best sort.
Alright now for my statement about my threshold for depictions of violence: I dare you to find one. Alright I actually do know one limit I have when it comes to this and that is medical procedure type stuff. I have no problem watching people get cut open on tv but the moment it’s happening in a hospital and they are performing surgery it’s hard to watch. However I will not being dnwing that because there are a few prompts where you could plausibly do something resembling that (well as far as I can remember I have no hospital related prompts but there are several prompts involving or implying torture and there are several ways to torture someone that involve playing doctor that might register similarly in my brain) and if that’s where you want to go I don’t want to stop you. It could be wonderful. Actually the playing doctor thing I mentioned in the parenthesis could be a lot of fun with a few of these prompts. Just know that is the one place you might get to me so to speak violence wise (also know that if you get to me I won’t be upset or anything like that). Otherwise you can crank it to eleven and I can pretty much deal with.
The above paragraph does not mean you have to put violence in whatever story you write. You can write a completely violence free story and I will love it. I just wanted to make sure that if you do want to include violence that you know that you really don’t have to hold yourself back for my sake.
A few of the prompts below mention that if you want to take things to a noncon or dubcon place I would not be against that and if you wanted to not take them there I wouldn’t be against that either. With the exception of a few of my pairings that are inherently dubcon/noncony, I’m not prompting it, but I’m not dnwing it either. Basically it’s cool if you do it’s cool if you don’t. I know dubcon/noncon is definitely a more opt in thing in exchanges so that’s why I’m going out of my way to let you know I’m okay with it if you go there even if I don’t specifically prompt it. This is my stance across the board by the way. I bring it up on a few of the prompts because I see it as more likely to be relevant to some prompts than other prompts (like I definitely needed to bring this up for Sadie/McKayla but have a hard time seeing why it would be relevant for Max/Eleven).

Sharp Objects
Amma Crellin/Camille Preaker
Okay so I saw this in the tag set and my immediate response was, “oh, hell yes!” I remember loving how twisted their relationship was, and if you can make things even more twisted than you are magic as far as I’m concerned. Like seriously don’t hold back when it comes to things that are fucked up and bloody. I welcome that with open arms.
Prompts for you to take or leave
One of the things that really stuck out to me about Amma was the way violence is intertwined with her sexuality. Use that please.
Camille feeling totally guilty about her relationship with Amma but not guilty enough to stop would definitely be something I would be into.
An AU where Amma was never caught and continued killing would be rad. Although I would prefer for her victims to continue being all girls.
I wouldn’t be opposed to Amma musing on her victims. This is my only exception to the “sexual content involving characters under the age of 13” DNW. I am fine with Amma having sexual feelings or fantasies or desires or thoughts or whatever towards her victims no matter what the age. However if the victim is under 13 I still do not want you to depict Amma actually having sex with the victim.
Domesticality mixed in with the twisted is more than welcome. Especially if it shows them trying to balance being sisters with being lovers with being sorta mother and daughter.
If your vision for this story goes to a dubcon/noncon place, I just want you to know that I am cool with that. If it doesn’t go to that place I am also down.
Heathers
Heather McNamara/Veronica Sawyer- I’ve seen a lot of fluff for this ship, and that’s all well and good, but I personally want something darker. With everything Veronica has done and how it has affected Heather McNamara there is stuff to draw on there. It can have fluff elements but I don’t want that to be the point of the piece.
Heather Chandler/Heather McNamara- I just wanna see how Chandler would handle McNamara in a romantic/sexual context. Would she hurt her or would she be gentle? Both? Something else entirely?
Heather Chandler/Heather Duke/Heather McNamara- It just makes sense. They are three parts of a whole. A dysfunctional whole, but a whole all the same.
Heather Chandler/Veronica Sawyer- There are a lot of places I can see this going. Rivalry, hatesex, guilt, ghosts, I love it all. I think that Heather Chandler genuinely liked Veronica a lot, but the opposite of love is not hate. I have seen it argued that hate is a form of love, but for Heather Chandler I think that hate may be a part of her love for Veronica.
Prompt I Would Be Super Into For Any Of These Ships: What if they were the ones to go on the killing spree instead?
If you want to add elements from the movie or hell, if you wanna straight up write fic for the movie versions of the characters instead, I would be okay with that. I honestly like the movie more than the musical anyway. If you wanna write fic that is strictly about the musical versions of the characters, that’s cool as well. This prompt is for the musical, it’d be kinda weird if I were against that.
Tragedy Girls
Sadie Cunningham/McKayla Hooper
Gosh I love these two so much it’s hard to know where to start. I love the way they complete each other. While on their own they most certainly wouldn’t have been good people, they needed each other to become what they became. They have those personalities that intertwine together to create a perfect disaster. The codependency in their relationship is absolutely A+. Don’t be afraid to show them being awful, the fact that these girls are monsters are a part of the appeal. Don’t feel like you have to hold back on that.
Some prompts you can feel free to take or leave
Creepy/weird and slightly inappropriate roleplay. Like maybe murderer and victim or two murderers but different from reality somehow (if you have any ideas about what that could be other than that go for it, I’d be happy to see it).
Blood, sadism, and bears! Oh my! Okay the bears aren’t really a part of the prompt (although teddy bears are cute and I love them very much), but their love of violence definitely is. If you can incorporate that I’ll love you forever.
Power dynamics. Like maaaaaan, this ship was practically built for power dynamic stuff. Sadie definitely has the control. Hands down, she’s the dominant one, but McKayla is arguably the more dangerous one. It could be fun to play with.
Them taunting a victim could be a lot of fun. I would personally prefer this victim to be a girl. Also I totally see the potential for this prompt to go to a dubcon/noncon place, and I want to let you know that you have my full permission to take it there if you so choose. Also that permission doesn’t just apply to this specific prompt. You can include that in any sort of fic you write about these two (or not include that, that’s cool too).
The juxtaposition between girly things and murder things was one of things that really cemented this movie in my heart and it would be cool to include that here.
Ship specific DNW: a Freudian excuse. One of the things I quite like about these characters is that the movie never tries to give them a tragic backstory to explain/excuse their behavior. They are even explicitly shown to be from loving families. They just are the way they are. So while I have no problem with you analyzing who they are and where they came from, I don’t want you to make up some piece of backstory so you can be like “they are this because x happened and that is totally the whole reason they are evil!”
Marvel 616
Felicia Hardy/Mary Jane Watson- The party girl and the bad girl. I see plenty of glitter and hopping fences and meetings in the dark of the night. Maybe it was supposed to be a meaningless, anonymous one night stand, but it didn’t stay that way. Now there’s feelings. Also Mary Jane having a lot of anger (maybe twinged with grief) and Felicia dealing with it. Also I’m really into Felicia being five to ten years older and if you do that please don’t shy away from all the age gap stuff. If you wanna make them the same age I can still work with that. Don’t think you absolutely have to bring up exact ages, you can let the dynamic speak for itself, but if you do I just request that MJ be no younger than sixteen.
Felicia Hardy/Cindy Moon- Ridiculous flirting. Felicia’s trust and Cindy’s resulting feelings of guilt. Bickering over silly things. Cindy not wanting to leave Felicia. Bonding over takeout on rooftops. Cindy coming to enjoy Felicia’s way of life. Overwhelming uncertainty. Felicia being the boss and making sure that Cindy knows that. Two hands clasped tight as red lights come closer. Also on them on the run from the law is what dreams are made of.
Emma Frost/Angelica Jones- Give me all the twisted student teacher stuff where Emma is being horribly manipulative and Angelica is naive and needs a hug. I mean there is already canonical gaslighting.
Jean Grey/Wanda Maximoff- I would absolutely love some Silver Age era flirtation between these two. Also an au where Wanda was a part of the first class and Jean was a member of the Brotherhood instead is not something I would say no to.
Illyana Rasputin/Rahne Sinclair- Illyana is a witch and Rahne is a werewolf. Rahne is very religious and Illyana was raised in hell. Just give me all the horror with religious undertones/imagery (that second part is totally optional but the foundation is there). You can go on the more spooky side of scale if you don’t want to write anything scary but I do want it to be the sort of creepy a story about a witch and a werewolf can give us. Just I can see mist over the moors and screams from hell and pentagrams and an almost full moon. I know in the early days of the New Mutants Rahne didn’t like Illyana and so it could be interesting to explore her feeling the way she did in canon while also having a crush. For some reason I associate the song Unchained Melody with them, do whatever you like with that information.
Lorna Dane/Wanda Maximoff- I am very interested in how these two deal with each other and how they feel about each other. What makes them different and what makes them the same? Also who would be the one to initiate things?
Liz Allen/Betty Brant- The original spider ladies! Something from that early era of canon when they were essentially the only spider ladies would be lovely. On a completely different note I think a supervillain au would be wonderful for these two.
Doreen Green/Riri Williams- My brain links these two together even though canon doesn’t do much of that because of their connections to Tony Stark. Doreen wanted be Tony’s sidekick, and Riri is a legacy character. But beyond that they are so different from each other. Doreen’s main thing is nature while Riri’s is technology. It’s they are so different yet still linked in my mind I would like to see how someone would put them together.
Alicia Masters/Sue Storm- These two just seem like they would work in so many different sort of wonderful and weird aus. Like a fantasy au where they are the subjects of a magic prophecy where they save the world and fall in love, or a Noir au with Sue as a PI and Alicia as her client, or anything. Go wild.
Marlene Alraune/Elektra Natchios- We know what Marlene’s relationship with Marc is like, but what would her relationship with Elektra be like. We know Marlene likes to be fancy and Elektra can do fancy. I’m having a hard time articulating the potential of this pairing, but think of the potential of this pairing.
DCU
Cassandra Cain/Rose Wilson- Mix the tenderness of a love poem with the violence of a bar fight. Mix sweet adoration with a bitter lack of trust. Mix the unspoken with the undeniable. Also something involving them sparring would be great.
Barbara Gordon/Bette Kane- The tennis champ and the commissioner’s daughter. What would bring these two together? Does Bette harbor any feelings of resentment about Babs being the new Batgirl? Does Barbara have any opinions on Bette’s time as Batgirl?
Helena Bertinelli/Dinah Lance- What I want from these two is a story about anger. Anger that makes you scream, anger that pulls a trigger and crushes bones. Anger that comes from deep within. Anger with a specific target. Anger that has nowhere to go. Maybe when these two collide it’s violent. Maybe they come together in soft harmony that totally contrasts everything else they know.
Pamela Isley/Selina Kyle- Ooooooh. These two could have some fun together. That’s really all I have in mind. Them being terrible, awful, criminal, and having a lot of fun together.
Stephanie Brown/Carrie Kelley- Alright considering the giant gap in the timeline there are three ways you can do this. The first way is that you make them roughly the same age: teenage girls. Steph is Spoiler and Carrie is Robin. If you go this route here is some fruit for thought. They are both very independent, deciding to be vigilantes on their own terms. Carrie’s parents were negligent and Steph’s dad was… well, Steph’s dad. I can see them getting along very well and helping each other out. The second way you can do it is making them the same age: adults. Steph is Nightwing and Carrie is whatever mantle you want her to be. They are both out patrolling, do they step on each other’s toes or are they functionally partners in crime fighting? They are now older and more experienced than when they started out and maybe they are both tired and need someone to rely on. The third and final choice is having Steph be an adult and Carrie be a teenager. Carrie still becomes Robin of her own volition but maybe Steph is the one to take Carrie under her wing instead and cue all the wonderful, classic hero/sidekick dirtybadwrong tropes. All of them from “oh no I shouldn’t be indulging this” to “there’s so much innocence still left in her heart and I’ll be ruining it whether this happens or not”. Just take your pick. Steph could angst about the fact that she is old enough to be this girl’s mother (and if you want to go the way of Carrie turning out to be her daughter I won’t stop you as long as neither of them are aware of it entering into the relationship, and if you don’t want to do that I’d also like that).
Lana Lang/Lori Lemaris- Lana could push Lori around in her wheelchair and it could be adorable. The main appeal to me is that one of them is from Smallville and the other is from Atlantis. I mean how much more different can you get. Also don’t forget about Lana’s insect powers. Those are under utilized.
Tara Markov/Rose Wilson- Considering Tara’s past with Slade Wilson, her entering into a relationship with Rose Wilson has the potential to be delightfully fucked up and I am here for every moment of. I like Tara to be a little bratty and for Rose to react to it. I like Rose to feel for Tara’s past, even a little bit, and for Tara not to know that. My mental image for this is old brick buildings, cigarettes, and bloody noses. Make of that what you will.
Joan Garrick/Molly Mayne- I really love Golden age Joan. She was tough and strong minded. I say this in the most positive way, but she was exactly the sort of stone cold bitch it needed to get what she wanted (I mean look at the college acceptance rates for girls in that era). She isn’t taking anybody’s shit and I love her for it. I have also always been interested in the way Molly’s villainous deeds are rooted from a desire for attention rather than maliciousness. They are pranks more than anything else. Joan worked hard to get where she is, how would she react to Molly who was born into wealth and privilege yet isn’t satisfied with her life? I would also appreciate a fic where Joan and Molly are Jay and Alan’s beards and Jay and Alan are their beards in return. Although if you wanna write fic where they are old you could totally pull a Grace and Frankie type situation (Grace and Frankie is a show which after decades of marriage their husbands come out of the closet and leave their wives for each other, so now these two very different women who never quite liked each other and only knew each other because their husbands were “best friends” have no one but one another to turn to for support) and I will love you.
Stranger Things
Barb Holland/Nancy Wheeler- Pre-series mutual pining and then after Barb dies Nancy being really sad. Or canon divergence where Barb never died (but the demogorgon stuff still happens) and got together with Nancy.
Kali Prasad/Nancy Wheeler- I don’t care how you do it, but get Nancy to join Kali’s gang.
Jane Hopper/Max Mayfield- Either give me fluff and puppy crushes and getting to know each other better set post season two pre season three OR give me gritty monster hunters from a few years into the future.
BTVS
Cordelia Chase/Willow Rosenberg- Look, I absolutely love the idea of these two together. I will take anything from fluff that will give you cavities to unhealthy and concerning dubcon bordering on noncon. How do the Scoobies feel about this relationship? How does Cordelia feel about her feelings for Willow? Even if you go for the tooth rotting fluff there is definitely a power imbalance there to work with. Are they hiding their relationship or hare they as open about it as any straight couple at Sunnydale would be?
Willow Rosenberg/Buffy Summers- For some reason this is the ship that makes me think about the fact that despite everything they’ve been through the are just kids. So yeah there is the weight of the world on their shoulders (and Buffy feels bad because she’s the only one who has to bear it but Willow chooses to bear it anyways), but they also have all that mundane teen stuff going on. I have never pictured the actual relationship itself being anything other than fluffy but if you have other ideas I’m interested.
Drusilla/Willow Rosenberg- I want to see how Drusilla would engage with Willow if she wanted her and how Willow would respond to that. Also if Willow does end up in Drusilla’s clutches how would that go? Sure Drusilla will turn her and keep her, but I’m sure she would play with her plenty first. Drusilla does love her dolls, and she knows the best ones break pretty.
Darla/Drusilla- I’m sure the two of them had plenty of girls’ nights during their time as the Scourge of Europe. Tell me about one of them. Also I have always found the way Drusilla calls Darla grandma to be endlessly amusing.
Faith Lehane/Buffy Summers- Oh god there is so much to this relationship. These two are truly two sides of the same coin. I would to see their ideals clash and a fucked up weirdly codependent relationship. Also an au where Faith was slayer first and Buffy is the newbie could be interesting.
Faith Lehane/Willow Rosenberg- I want something with a cat and mouse feel. Also their relationship in the context of an au where Faith was the slayer before Buffy and had been going to Sunnydale since sophomore year while Buffy wouldn’t show up until senior year could be interesting
Cordelia Chase/Anya Jenkins- Wishverse! I’m low key down for the Wishverse for most of these prompts and would be okay with it if you wen that path, but this is the only one I am high key into it. Or Anya as rebound. Or just in general how would Anya’s strangeness mesh with the way Cordelia is?
Cordelia Chase/Buffy Summers- For all their differences these two girls sure have a lot in common. Cattiness mixed with fondness. Or an au where Buffy decided to be friends with Cordelia instead of Willow and Xander way back at the start.
Fandom Specific DNW: Anything set after season 3 timeline wise
ASOUE
Violet Baudelaire/Isadora Quagmire- What I am picturing for these two is future fic set years after Lemony Snicket would lose track of the Baudelaire orphans and Violet and Isadora are off having badass adventures together. But I would also be into it if you wrote mutual pining with angst and fluff set around where we currently are in canon.
Olivia Caliban/Jacquelyn Sciezka- au where Jacquelyn was the one Olivia paired off with instead of Jacques. Or a canon divergent au where Olivia lives and somehow ends up with Jacquelyn.
Georgina Orwell/Esmé Squalor- Just them being horrible together and also in love. Arguing about fashionable glasses.
Olivia Caliban/Esmé Squalor- There are so many points in canon where these two could come together and it could be dark. Exploit those points to hell and back. Also if you see this going in a noncon or dubcon direction I just wanted to give you my complete permission to do so. If you don’t see this going in a noncon dubcon direction then it’s also cool if you don’t go there. I’m excited to see what you come up with either way.
Jacquelyn Sciezka/Kit Snicket- This is mostly because I remember speculation that Jacquelyn was going to turn out to be Kit. That mostly certainly isn’t the case which is wonderful because we can ship them. Do Jacquelyn and Kit already know each other? What do they think of each other?
Beatrice Baudelaire/Esmé Squalor- My prompt for these two is only two words, and those two words are: sugar bowl.
Josephine Anwhistle/Georgina Orwell- Pre series fic where Josephine is bold and the schism hasn’t happened yet.
FDTD
Paloma Gutiérrez/Santanico Pandemónium- The first word that comes to mind when I think of this pairing is ouroboros. The reason it grabbed me so hard (beyond being messed up f/f) is the whole cycle of abuse thing going. How Paloma is what Santanico once was and Santanico is doing to her what was once done to her. I also love how Santanico is Paloma’s god. But yeah. That’s my prompt: ouroboros.
Sonja Lam/Vanessa Styles- It seems like these two wanted very similar things and their true tragedy was that they found Seth Gecko instead of each other. So give me that fic where Sonja and Vanessa run away together to that island and are living life the way they should.
Monica Garza/Santanico Pandemonium- Monica lives au. The series would have turned out very differently if that were the case. For one the Geckos wouldn’t have picked up the Fullers. And what if one of those differences was that Monica met Santanico and they hit it off? You could also do something where Monica dies just like she did in canon, but I have no idea how you would do that (if you have an idea go right ahead).
Jessica/Kate Fuller- Just Kate having the biggest crush on Jessica pre-series. The biggest. Sleepovers where Kate’s heart is just on the verge of bursting. Are her feelings reciprocated? I am equally here for angst about Jessica’s death and a Jessica lives au.
Margaret Gonzalez/Dakota McGraw-Block- Maybe set right after Margaret left Freddie and Dakota feeling guilty about it.
Sonja Lam/Santanico Pandemonium- HATE SEX! God there is so much potential for hate sex. Or sex aside just all the catty antagonistic flirtation in the universe.
Jessie/Libby- How are these two holding up after what they went through in the pilot? Also if you can slip in any sort of news footage or scenes from a cheesy documentary these two would have been interviewed for that would be wonderful because I just love that sort of thing.
